If your SQL based Macola accounting program stops working after you install
Symantec Anti Virus Corporate Edition (Version 10.x in our case) then try
excluding the following from the Symantec Tamper and Realtime Scanner
options:

Click on Configure

Click on Tamper Protection - Disable Tamper Protection

Return to Configure

Click on File System Auto Protection
Check Exclude selected files and folders
Click on Files and Folders
Click on +Local Disk C:
Check Macola 70 folder. (finished)
Click on +Common Files
Check fujitsu (finished)
Check Macola Shared (finished)
Check Apps on Server - mapped drive - (finished)

Hope that works for your Symantec Corporate Edition installs with Macola SQL
Accounting Program.
