10 easy steps to Speed up Windows XP

1)… Double Click “My Computer”
2)… Click on “Tools” “Folder Options” and then the “View” Tab
3)… Make sure that under “Hidden files and folders” that “Show hidden….”
is turned on
4)… “OK” out of there and then,
5)… Open Up/Double Click your C: Drive
6)… Open Up/Double Click the yellow “Documents and Settings” folder
7)… Double Click your Name (or Administrator - if that’s you) then,
8)… Double Click “Local Settings” and then
9)… Double Click the “Temp” Folder
10)… See how many files you can delete out of there and then reboot….
See if that makes a difference
