It seems, these days more than ever, that there is a trend to polarization, a movement away from center and balance, the direction to the edge, to instability and to quick change.

Several times these last couple of weeks it’s the “Should I buy a Dell or an HP” question. Weeks before that it was - and still is to an extent - “Which is better the Mac or the PC”! These discussions and polarities I find neither helpful nor rewarding - but that’s just me.

The quick answers are:

  1. Dell’s are usually cheaper and,
  2. HP’s usually win more reliability awards.

The answer to the other question is - user preference. Whether Intel Chip or Motorola or Security updates or Version Releases. Pick your poisin and enjoy - they’re both great machines in spite of their strengths!

So much for laying out the groundwork. But please, don’t be so narrow as to overlook Sony, Dell, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Acer and others - after all Dell and HP aren’t the only PC’s in town. You’d think so sometimes tho’ if you’ve had an overdose of media rather than a dose of creative thought.

Check out Panasonic ToughBooks, Fujitsu LifeBooks, SonyStyle VAIO’s, Toshiba and Acer offerings - you’ll be glad you did!
